Finale of the Hometown Hero search, with one winner chosen from each week of the preliminary concert series (@The Tastes & Sounds of Downtown- Wednesdays in the Firestone Outdoor Concert Lot). All finalists perform in front of the Orlando Calling panel on October 26th. The winner of the Finale event will be selected to play at the Orlando Calling Festival, November 12-13!
The boys put on a great show last night when they opened the show at Firestone for Buckethead! If you missed the show fear not! They are playing another show at Firestone (see calendar for details) this Saturday at 4:00 PM during the Indie Show. The show is FREE and all ages are welcome!
The showcase at Club Firestone has been rescheduled to September 17, so mark your calendars! This showcase may well determine where and when the boys will play in the upcoming Orlando Calling in November. This is an all ages show, and the tenative start time is 8:00 PM. See you there!
Sound express will be perofrming at Firestone on August 31, 2011 at 8:00 PM! Admission is free, and this is an all age outdoor show so everyone is welcome! The boys did a great job at the showcase, but if you missed it you can still get your fill of Sound Express in a great outdoor venue!See you there!

As you know, Sound Express won the Next Big Thing contest last month and played a killer show at Red Hot and Boom. But that was just the first part of the prize! Also included was the recording of more original music and an industry showcase! Executives for the major labels will be in attendance. The showcase will happen at Abbey, 100 S. Eola Drive, Orlando FL, 32801, 407-704-6261 this coming Thursday, August 25 from 5:00-7:00 PM. This is unfortunately not an all ages show, guests must be 18 and up. Sound Express will be performing a 7 song set, including 4 previously unreleased tunes! Hope to see at the Abbey!
